‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Pauses Production As Letitia Wright Recovers From An Injury

‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ is taking a little break.

More details below…

Entertainment Weekly confirms that production on the film has halted as star Letitia Wright recovers from a previous injury.

Back in August, she sustained minor injuries on set as she was filming scenes with a stunt rig. Afterwards, she was hospitalized briefly, then released, and has been recovering since that incident.

Writer-director Ryan Coogler has filmed as much footage as he can without Wright. Production will fully shutdown the week of Thanksgiving and will resume in early 2022.

Wright is reprising her role as T’Challa‘s little sister, Shuri, and the sequel picks up after the events of the 2018 original.

Marvel has remained tight-lipped about the plot, so not much is known at this point.

However, the film is set to hit theaters November 11, 2022.
